Worth Auctions recently handled an extensive collection of vintage jewelry and gemstones from a fine Upstate New York estate. A total of 140 lots were sold across two cataloged sales which were held live at Worth’s galleries in Dryden and simulcast to collectors worldwide via the auction house’s online bidding platforms.
Leading the first sale was a trio of loose, round brilliant-cut diamonds for which Worth secured GIA certificates. Together they brought over $6,700.
Other pieces of note in the fine jewelry category included an 18 karat gold acanthus leaf mesh bracelet with 19 diamonds ($1000); an Art Deco platinum ring with diamonds and sapphires ($1,200); and a 1.5 carat solitaire diamond ring ($1,300).
Additional offerings included Native American turquoise and sterling pieces, men’s watches and cuff links, and other group lots of vintage costume jewelry and accessories.
